Description
The "Hourglass" was created to communicate a biblical truth. The sands of time are running out.
It is the word. It is a reminder to believers and those who are seekers of God, Those who are sincerely "wondering what it is all about".
The scriptures indicate that the Creator has set a time when all things will culminate in the Return of Jesus Christ as Lord. It is a march through time and events as recorded by holy men moved by the Spirit of God. I view it as a call to a renewed faith. And with world events happening in such a peculiar way, why not ponder the notion?
Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
I have had such a great response to this piece of art! Thank You!
It is sure to be a spark for conversation. It took loads of magnification for these strained eyes to apply each granule.

So much detail Glen. Very precise and I love the theme and the imagery! V/F
Glenn McCarthy Art and Photography replied:
Thank you so much Sydne. Everyone sees this in a different light. I'm just sharing visually what some may not have any intimate knowledge or understanding of. Some call it doomsday... I call it freedom day and find it fascinating to watch things unfold before my eyes.

That's the holiday spirit Ed! Somehow I think that date will come and go just like any other day... with it's own set of marks in time.

So much detail
Glenn McCarthy Art and Photography replied:
A straining amount of detail on this. Had to use a magnifier to write the book pages...

Excellent. There's a real story being told here, and you can't just look and run. You really need to study it to understand its message. Well done!! f/v

This was my first post of art. The hourglass had been in my mind for quite some time... and some of those sands have trickled since this was released.
