Description
The old windmill tower was just another antique that decorates the outside of the roadside bar and grill in this desert town. Not any roadside place though. It was the Cocky Bull, an old country western concert hall in the middle of nowhere. It's guests included Willie Nelson, Garth Brooks, Merle Haggard and the likes. But times have changed and it has been replaced by a strip mall. (This is where everyone comes in to clap!)
There was a day when it pumped water and indicated the direction of the wind and it's veracity. It's a good metaphor for some things that we could use in our everyday lives.

John 3:8 "The wind goes where its pleasure takes it, and the sound of it comes to your ears, but you are unable to say where it comes from and where it goes: so it is with everyone whose birth is from the Spirit". John 4:10 "In answer Jesus said, If you had knowledge of what God gives freely and who it is who says to you, Give me water, you would make your prayer to him, and he would give you living water".
