The tranquil Castle Lake is surrounded by colorful autumn foliage and rugged hillside terrain, under a partially cloudy sky. A solitary dead tree stands near the water's edge, in contrast to the vibrant life of the surrounding forest. Let's not forget the fisherman on the lake.
Castle Lake is a beautiful scenic area for great outdoor experiences. Hiking trails bring you fantastic views of Mount Shasta. I was just glad to be able to be there on a quiet day... with my camera ready for a beautiful shot! Enjoy.
