Description

A gnarled pine tree leans over rugged terrain with Mount Lassen dominating the background under a partly cloudy sky. The scene exudes a wild, untamed beauty, typical of the mountainous regions of Lassen National Park. The dense forest stretches out below these peaks for miles.

Lassen National Park is a pretty awesome place. Unfortunately the fires in California left a huge swath of devastation that stretched for untold miles and left portions of the park closed. Still we were fascinated by the grandeur of this great wilderness.
